Master's Thesis Projects

Our projects combine bioengineering, cell biology, immunology, and biofabrication to develop more physiologically relevant models of human organs and diseases. Depending on the project, students may work with primary human cells, 3D cell culture, organ-on-chip platforms, biomaterials, microscopy, molecular biology, and functional characterisation.

We welcome students from backgrounds including biomedical engineering, biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, medicine, materials science, and related disciplines who are interested in interdisciplinary research.

Your profile

We welcome students from biomedical engineering, biotechnology, biology, biochemistry, medicine, materials science, and related disciplines. An interest in interdisciplinary research and advanced human in vitro models is expected. Previous experience with cell culture, organ-on-chip, immunology, or biomaterials is advantageous but not required.
